SOAP a failure , heard that a thousand times
Sun technologist calls SOAP a failure and quite a lot of other experts in the field.
It's too broad and look, a perfect solution for business layer interaction became a mess. Thats what you get when its too broad in its interpretation. Sounds like we're talking about a Bible or some other religious testament. When its open to interpretation it will eventually split into its own "great ways". Products evolve on top of the SOAP and so on.
Now that Cisco is developing its own light weight SOAP to handle way more messaging. Perhaps they will lead the way. Or perhaps we (developers) will keep in going finding other solutions.
Time will tell
