MacOS X Leopard installs smoothly on IBM laptop
I've been an eager fan of Leopard and even more the "special version" for PCs.
Let's
put aside those pesky Ads , PC vs Mac, they are irrelevant, we " those
that know what hardware is" know that Mac is just a nicely packaged
hardware, which is still a PC (stands for Personal Computer, nothing
else). But having Mac OS X is another story, the Operating system is
blazing fast.
Well i'm here to tell you, i was able to install it on my IBM T61 laptop .
I suggest seeking a Kalyway version, it was a 10.5.2

Another great alternative to Ms Office Suite, from IBM
You can live without Ms Office , i guarantee you. From personal experience , i have lived without Ms Office for over 4 years without anyone knowing that their doc files were altered by a Non Microsoft product.
I use Star Office (from Sun Microsystems) which is only $60 but totally worth it. Contains all the tools and more in comparison with Full Ms Office Suite. Excel files are read and edited without a problem, Word files can be exported as PDF in button click and other neat and useful features.
Star Office is based on stable version of Open Office with addition of other features.
Open Office actually is a Sun's project with Community involvement.
Now there is a new product on the virtual shelve. IBM Lotus Symphone.
Totally free product and is yet to show off its potential with such backing as IBM's. They can't sell it since its based on Open Office but they do have optional support for it.
I implore you to try it out and let me know what you think of it.
